World Cup winners hosted by the Swans!

In the recent 70+ & 75+ World Cup Tournament 2024 in Cardiff, hosted by the Wales Veterans' Football Association, Wales o75s were beaten in the final but the o70s went one step further and lifted the World Cup!

To recognise this achievement, Swansea City FC invited the triumphant Wales o70s World Cup squad, as guests of honour, to the Swansea.Com stadium on Saturday 26th October at the Swansea v Millwall Championship fixture.

At half-time Swans MC Kevin Johns gave the crowd a rousing account of Wales World Cup Final against USA, and squad members, Peter Morgan, Terry Compton and Alan Meacham were interviewed 'live' pitch-side, with the squad receiving generous applause from the 15000 plus fans!

The Wales Veterans' Football Association would like to thank everyone at Swansea City FC for their kind invitation and the warm celebration of the team’s victory, which can only raise the profile of Veterans Football in Wales.
