N Ireland 0, England 1
England won an evenly fought contest in blistering heat at Jenner Park. Striker, Deakin on target with a superb finish. Northern Ireland could have rescued the game at the death but England stopper, Bedford, diffused the threat.
Wales 1, Team GB 0
In the second game, Wales striker Vince Lewis scored on the stroke of half-time after missing an earlier penalty against an energetic Team GB. Dean Morris again impressed whilst Shane Davies and Andy Legg were a constant threat, in fact the result should have been more convincing if one or more of their crosses had been converted. Although Wales manager, Rogan Matthews, was far from happy with the performance, it leaves his team needing just a point from their last game tomorrow against Northern Ireland to retain the WorkwearSupermarket.com o50s Home Nations title.
