Wales o50s Win BUT o55s lose

The Wales Veterans FA sent two Representative squads to Kirby Muxloe to play England in sweltering conditions on July 17th and they returned with mixed fortunes....

Goalkeeper John Jones captained a weakened o55s squad against a determined England outfit who led at half time following a controversial penalty. The hosts were worthy winners and scored a second late on to seal victory.

In the second match the o50s faired better. Manager Gavin Price saw his men put on a fine display to defeat their English counterparts 2-3 with goals from Vince Lewis (2) & Shawn Sullivan.
