Wales o50s recorded a good win over a strong England side....writes Andrew Yorke...
Wales started in a 3,5,2 formation and matched England. Both teams were good in Possession creating half chances during the first 30 mins, Wales brought on 4 subs around the 30 min mark, and the fresh legs helped, with good work down the right hand side, resulting in Steve White putting in a dangerous cross which Chris Summers got on the end of with a great header to put Wales 1-0 up on the stroke of half time.
Wales changed Keepers at HT giving both keepers valuable game time, with Chris Williams replacing Mark Boulton. Start of second half England gained the upper hand and started to control the game with their short passing and interchanging, but the back three of Captain Steve Lewis, Nev and Burman were outstanding and dealt with everything England had. On 60 mins Wales made 3 substitutions and went to a 4,5,1 formation, with Tranter the loan striker through the middle. Around the 80 minute mark England equalised through Cornish who capitalised on a rare Welsh mistake. Wales changed again during the last 8 mins, going back to a 3,5,2, and it payed off as Shane Davies chased a lost cause which resulted in the England keeper dropping the ball at his feet, Shane past inside to Tranter who fed Carl Evans to slot the ball into the corner of the net to win the game for Wales in injury time.

Manager, Andrew Yorke was pleased overall by a good performance "however lots to work on going forward, but utilising the squad well and giving every player at least 60 mins earns valuable game time at this level."[/i]
