Wales o45s travel to North Wales!

The Wales Veterans' Football Association have accepted an invitation from North Wales Veterans League club, Rhydymwyn, and are sending an o45s squad to face the Flintshire outfit who play in the North Wales Veterans o35s League.

This is the second match, in as many weeks, against North Wales opposition and demonstrates the WVFAs commitment to establish closer links with our colleagues in the North of the country.

To further reinforce this commitment, Wales manager, Paul ‘Ricky’ Richards, has drafted in Llay Welfare player, Lee Phelan, who impressed in last week’s fixture against a WVFA o40s Representative squad in Cardiff. His teammate, the former Wrexham and Wales player, Steve Evans, was also selected but he travels to Barry with his team, Flint Town, on the same day.

Richards is keen to make a noteworthy showing against what is likely to be a younger team and he names a strong squad to make the journey. Congratulations to the following players (and their clubs), who have been selected....
