Wales o45s squad selected for Wootton Bassett

The Wales Veterans' Football Association have accepted an invitation to send an o45s squad to face a Royal Wootton Bassett o35s side at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground in Wiltshire on 15th March 2025, at 1pm.

Manager, Paul ‘Ricky’ Richards’ has named a very strong squad and explains “the WorkwearSupermarket.com over 45's League has been very competitive and of the highest standard this season, and that is reflected in my squad selection.” He also confirmed that “North Wales is, once again, represented, with Llay Welfare’s Lee Phelan and Jon Kenworthy of Rhydymwyn, making their debuts.” He added "We would also like to wish a speedy recovery to Llay Welfare’s Lee Phelan, who had to drop out after suffering a heart condition."
