Terry Medwin passes away aged 91

Terry Medwin 25 September 1932 - 1st May 2024

It is with great sadness that we report that former Wales legend, Terry Medwin, has passed away aged 91. Terry moved to Tottenham Hotspur from his hometown club, Swansea City in 1956, and there he would become a key player in Spurs’ revered 1961 double-winning squad under Bill Nicholson. He will also be remembered as part of Wales’ squad for the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, scoring the crucial goal in the play-off win against Hungary that secured a quarter-final place.

His son, Cameron, has been a key member of Wales Veterans' Football, playing for Swansea Veterans and the Wales Veterans’ Representative squads for well over a decade and the thoughts of everyone within the Wales veterans football community are with him and his family at this sad time. Rest in Peace Terry
