Northern Ireland were winners of the second Over 60s Tri-Nations Football Tournament, hosted by Wales Veterans Football at Cardiff's Ocean Park Arena on the 4th - 6th March...writes Alan Meacham.....

Over 60s squads representing England, Wales and Northern Ireland took part with the latter lifting the trophy. In the first game Wales lost to England 0-2, despite dominating possession and missing a penalty! A very strong and well organised Northern Ireland recorded an emphatic 8-1 victory over England on Saturday and, in a tough encounter with Wales on Sunday, scored two early first half goals and although the hosts pressed hard in the second half the visitors ran-out worthy 2 nil winners.
