A closely fought game at Eastern High School ended all-square. Lewis put the League leaders ahead before the interval but Corfield equalised for the hosts late on to earn a share of the spoils, but Penybont still sit on top of the O55s Workwear Supermarket.com League.
Merthyr Tydfil 8, Cardiff Academicals 1
A hat-trick a-piece for Walker and Francis, plus further goals from Guinane and Roberts sealed an emphatic win for the hosts at Mountain Ash. Lane scored a consolation for the visitors.
Llanelli Town 1, Swansea 3
A good away win for the Swans at Penrhos School. Fredrickson (2) and Williams were on target with Davies replying for the hosts.
Pontyclun 0, Barry Town 0
All-square in a competitive ‘throw-back’ game on the muddy pastures of Talbot Park. The visitors had the lion’s share of possession and created several fine opportunities to score but, a combination of their profligacy, fine goalkeeping by Pontyclun gloveman, Griffiths, and the heavy loamy soil conditions underfoot kept the scores level. Hatch could have stolen the points for the hosts late-on, but Vorster made a comfortable save.

Cardiff Academicals 0, Newport 7
A handsome win for the visitors at the University Fields with Powell (2), Pickering (2), Routley and Willis on target. A Parsons OG completed a bad day at the office for the Accies.
Penybont 4, Pontyclun 1
Penybont maintained their 100% record with a fine home win at Ynysawdre. Goals by Casey, Anderson, John secured the 3 points and they remain top of the O55s Workwear Supermarket.com League.
Swansea 0, Merthyr Tydfil 3
A good away win for Merthyr at Penyrheol Leisure Centre. After a scoreless first half Carpanini gave the visitors the lead with Evans and Francis completing the scoring.
Barry Town 2, Llanelli Town 0
A good win for the hosts in an entertaining match at Bro Morgannwg. They had the better of the possession in the first half and took the lead when Warren Jones headed home a Cooksey cross. The second half was more evenly balanced with both sides playing some decent football but not troubling either keeper until Huw Davies, Llanelli’s best player, forced a fingertip save from Barry gloveman, Vorster. With 10 minutes remaining, Wilson should have closed the game out for the hosts after a powerful 50-yard run, but fluffed his lines at the last moment and struck an upright. Minutes later however, Leask secured the 3 points with an accurate strike which evaded Reds keeper, Edwards.

Pontyclun 1, The Continental 2
A close-fought match on Talbot Park saw The Continental (pictured) take the 3 points...writes Andy 'Chalky' White.... The ‘Clun took the lead with a Mele breakaway goal. Just before half time Thompson got the equaliser. The hosts worked hard not to be broken down and with only 11 fit players available they did well to stem their 'high-flying' opponents, until a Corfield free-kick midway through the second half proved to be the winner. Thompson missed a late penalty and the hosts could have grabbed a late equaliser with two chances in the last 5 minutes, but the visitors claimed the points after a good battle and good attitudes at the end.
Llanelli Town 1, Penybont 3
A good game of football for the neutral at Penrhos writes...Neil Bryant...Llanelli starting brightly and went ahead through Vaughan Jones, following good work by the dangerous Huw Davies. Penybont’s first real chance was a shot from outside the box by Vince Lewis which was well kept out by Reds stopper Edwards, but the visitors equalised when the Reds defence failed to deal with a long ball and gifted Vince Lewis. They soon went 2-1 up with a good shot from Gareth Jones from outside the box.
The second half saw good football from both teams with Waters pulling the strings for the Reds and Casey likewise for Penybont, but it was Tim O’Connor who got the all-important 4th goal to secure all 3 points for the Bridgend outfit who retain their position on top of the O55s Workwear Supermarket.com League table.
Newport 4, Swansea 2
Plenty of goalmouth action at Llanwern with the hosts claiming the 3 points. Frederickson, Thomas, Ross and Powell were Newport’s scorers with Walsh and Romanello on target for the Swans.
Merthyr Tydfil 1, Barry Town 1
A hard-fought draw at Penydarren Park with some fabulous football played by both team sand a fair result...writes Dave Murray....The hosts came out of the blocks and scored early through Guinane and they went on to edge the first half. In the second half, the visitors kept pressing and got stronger as the game went on. James scored a deserved equaliser from the penalty spot to earn a share of the spoils.

Barry Town 6, Newport 2
An excellent first half performance, including a fine hat-trick by Matthews, ensured the 3 points for the hosts at Bro Morgannwg. Cooksey (2) and Smith were also on target and, but for a good spell by the visitors around the hour mark when Ross scored 2 goals, they secured a convincing win.
Penybont 1, Merthyr Tydfil 0
The hosts defeated last year’s League champions at Pencoed College and in doing so made it 4 from 4. Habitual scorer, Lewis was on target, and his side now sit ‘alone’ at the top of the table.
Swansea 2, Cardiff Academicals 1
Swansea (pictured) secured the 3 points with a hard-fought win against the Accies at Penyrheol. Romanello and Williams were on target for the hosts, with Moles replying for the Cardiff side.

An emphatic win for the hosts at Eastern High School with Collins (2), Thompson (2) and Morgan on target for Andrew Kempton's charges

Llanelli Town 2, Pontyclun 1
A hard fought win for the hosts (pictured) at a windy Penrhos...writes Neil Bryant..The visitors went a man down through injury then a goal down, scored by Stamp. Pontyclun drew level in the second half through Fitzgibbon, but the Reds claimed all three points courtesy of a Walters strike from outside the box.
Barry Town 2, Cardiff Academicals 0
The hosts were two up within 11 minutes at Jenner Park through Cooksey and James. The hosts boasted the lion’s share of possession but both sides had good opportunities to score, but Barry Town deservedly claimed the 3 points.
Merthyr Tydfil 4, The Continental 1
A convincing win for the hosts at The Ynys against big challengers, The Continental. Thomas, Guinane, Carpanini and Walker were on target for the hosts. Constantinou got a consolation for the visitors.
Newport 3, Penybont 4,
The visitors just edged this end to end classic at Llanwern and now lie joint top of the league. The scores were level with minutes remaining when Penybont scored through Lewis (2) and a Thomas own goal and the hosts replied through Willis, Pickering and Routley, but a late winner from O’Connor secured the points for the Bridgend boys.

A good, competitive match at Eastern High School saw Newport drop their first points of the season to a strong Continental Team. Two second half goals by Thompson secured the points for the hosts.
Pontyclun 1, Merthyr Tydfil 4
Mele put Pontyclun ahead in the 20th minute, but a Geraint Roberts hat-trick and a further goal by Steve Owen secured the 3 points for the visitors.
Penybont 4, Cardiff Academicals 1
A convincing win by the hosts at Coleg Cymunedol. First half goals by John, O’Connor, Dalton and Lewis did the damage. Accies’ scorer, was Richard Payne.
Barry Town 3, Swansea 0
The hosts kicked off their season with a convincing win at Jenner Park. Jeans, who had replaced talismanic captain, Averies, with 10 minutes gone, rifled Barry into a deserved lead on quarter of an hour. In the second half Cooksey converted with aplomb after a fine through ball from Wilson and Warren Jones completed the scoring with 12 minutes remaining, finishing well after good work by Cooksey and Smith.

A tight game at Cardiff University fields, which saw the visitors win by the odd goal in 7! Cook, Lane and Moles were on target for the hosts but Thompson, Constantinou and Lewis (2) secured the points for The Continental.

Goals by Clive Evans and Guinane secured the points for the hosts at the Bont
Newport 5, Pontyclun 2
A convincing win by the hosts at Llanwern School. Conway got a brace for Pontyclun.
Swansea 2, Penybont 3
The visitors took a 3 goal lead at Penyrheol Leisure Centre, through Lewis, Rees and O’Connor. The hosts scored two late goals through Haskins and Andy Jones to make it a nervy last few minutes.

Newport 3, Llanelli Town 1
A good game played in a good spirit at Llanwern School writes Nigel Lewis....Llanelli started well and boss possession for the opening 15 minutes which resulted in a well-worked goal for centre forward Howerth, playing his first game since rupturing his achilles tendon last season. Newport worked their way into the game and took advantage of some sloppy defending, allowing Ross to equalise. The game opened up and Newport were the better team and scored again through Lilygreen to go into half time 2-1 up. Newport dominated the midfield in the second half and Dyke deservedly scored a third with ten minutes to go to secure the points for the hosts.
Cardiff Academicals 1, Pontyclun 1
All-square at Cardiff University fields with Flood opening the scoring for Pontyclun in the 10th minute and Chichester equalising 10 minutes later....and the game ended that way.
