Penydarren scored through Jones, Watkins, Newell and Merry but Pentyrch kept fighting back and scored two of their own through Gay and McNamara and although the hosts created plenty of chances, a combination of profligacy and a fine keeping display by Williams in the Pentrych goal kept the score close.
