16th February

Abercwmboi 4, Ynyscynon 1
A win for the hosts in a good battle at Aberdare...writes David Hinxman... The hosts took the lead through Durston, but were pegged back immediately by Mathias. Durston scored again before the interval and then completed his hat-trick in an end to end second half to secure the points for Abercwmboi.

Afan Lido 6, Porth Harlequins 1
An emphatic victory for the visitors at Marston’s Stadium with a Walters hat-trick along with Reynolds, Walters and Kenny. Haggett got the quins goal

Church Village 3, Upper Rhondda 10
All-square at Y Pant in a really good, competitive game between two decent teams...writes David Hinksman... Pontyclun scored towards end of the first half through Wilson, and had a few decent chances to extend their lead in the second. They paid for not taking them when Abercwmboi’s pressure ended in an equaliser for Welch. Highly competitive both on and off the field.

Llanelli Town 2nds 2, Trefelin 2
All-square at Penrhos School with 4 second half goals. Cook put the visitors ahead and then put through his own net 10 minutes later. Mould then put Llanelli ahead only for Trefelin to reply through Williams.

Pencoed Athletic 0, Llantwit Fardre 7
The visitors extended their lead at the top of the table with an emphatic win at Pencoed College...writes Huw Vaughan... From start to finish Llantwit controlled the game and although I can’t fault the boys for digging in until the end, Llantwit were on another level, played some cracking football and scored through Llewellyn (3), Jones, Hughes, Williams and Chambers,

Match postponed – pitch unplayable

Pontyclun 2, Penlan 4
The visitors claimed the points in another competitive game which was enjoyable to play in...writes Dai Lewis... Penlan took an early lead through Jones and had a lot of other chances but Pontyclun went into halftime 2-1 up with goals from Ackland and Lewis. Penlan played really well in second half and scored 3 further goals through Price (2) and Maunder and they missed a penalty. Fair result in the end.

9th February
Llantwit Fardre 5, Porth Harlequins 0
A commanding win for the League leaders at Central Park who extended the gap on their rivals to 5 points. Goals by Roberts (2), Llewellyn (2) and Hughes did the damage.

Pontyclun 1, Abercwmboi 1
All-square at Y Pant in a really good, competitive game between two decent teams...writes David Hinksman... Upper Rhondda 6, Trefelin 2
The hosts claimed the points but it was still 2 2 after an hour...writes Stu D.... Upper Rhondda got a couple of quick goals, Trefelin picked up a few injuries and the game was over! Upper Rhondda scored through a Lewis hat-trick, Howells, Morris and Barnes. Fair-play to Trefelin replied through Williams and Walkley and whose 11 men kept going until the end.

2nd February
Penlan 5, Pentrych Rangers 0
A comfortable win for hosts in a good game at Mynydd Newydd with goals by Price (3), Raeburn (2) and Mansell.

Porth Harlequins 1, Church Village 2
A good away win for Church village at Dinas Park who snatched the points with two late goals from Allen, after Tyler had given the hosts the lead.

Rockspur 7, Pencoed Athletic 0
A big win for the hosts against rivals Pencoed at Penyrheol Leisure centre. Scorers were Hayne (2), Connochie, Evans, Medwin, Lewis and Grey

Swansea 6, Pontyclun 2
A comfortable victory for the hosts at Penyrheol Leisure Centre....writes Dai Lewis...Pontyclun were well and truly outplayed in the first half with Swansea scoring some great goals through star-man Gill and Sandford! A Lewis strike made it 5-1 at half time. We improved in the second half and pushed for some goals to get us back into it but Swansea defended really well to allow us only one goal, again through Lewis, but Gill, brought his personal tally to FIVE with another swift counter attack to make the final score 6-2.

Trefelin 1, Abercwmboi 1
All-square at Victoria Road with Williams putting the hosts ahead and Welch scoring an equaliser early in the second half for a share of the spoils.

26th January
Pontyclun 2, Llanelli (2nds) 2
Very enjoyable game to play in with some decent football played by both teams...writes Dai Lewis... Llanelli arrived with a bare 11 which took its toll in the second half but they took a 2-0 lead in first half through Roberts and Andrews before Lewis pulled one back for Pontyclun before half time. The hosts pushed for a deserved equaliser and got it with about 20 minutes to play through Rogers. Both teams pushed for a winner, but it finished 2-2 which was probably a fair result.

19th January
Abercwmboi 1, Llantwit Fardre 3
The League leaders took the 3 points in a brilliant game of football between two good sides...writes David Hinksman.... The hosts were 1 nil up at half time through Welch but Llantwit’s fitness was telling and they came out on top in second half with goals by Hughes, Llewellyn and an own goal by Williams.

Church Village 4, Ynyscynon 3
Church Village won an exciting game by the odd goal in seven at Upper Boat. The visitors took an early lead through Evans but when the hosts jumped into a 4-1 lead through Rees (2), Perry and Abercrombe the game seemed all over. Credit to Ynyscynon, whose Mathias scored a late brace to make the last 10 minutes interesting...but Village held on for their second win of the season.

Llanelli Town 2nds 2, Rockspur Fords 1
The hosts came out on top in a very hard-fought game at Penrhos School...writes a pitch-side reporter....
The title ‘challengers’ found the visitors to be a well-organised and well-balanced team and although both teams created chances it was Llanelli who scored first through McEwan. The lead only lasted a few minutes as Johnson equalised for Rockspur, but the ‘Reds’ team spirit once again shone through and a superb finish by Mould gave them a victory which keeps them on the same points as league leaders, Llantwit Fardre.

Pencoed Athletic B&GC 3, Penlan 2
The hosts secured a narrow win at Pencoed College...writes Huw Vaughan....Although Penlan took the lead twice through Jamie Davies and Maunder, Pencoed drew level twice through Wyllis and an Elliot og. Nick Jones got the winner with 20 min to go and although Penlan threw everything at them, Pencoed held out for the 3 points.

Pentyrch Rangers 3, Swansea 1
The hosts claimed the points in a good game of football between two evenly matched teams...writes Mark Grant... McNamara and Hughes put Pentyrch 2-0 up before Reid scored for the Swans. Barnett secured victory in the last few minutes in a game where Pentyrch took their chances.

Upper Rhondda 0, Porth Harlequins 2
Porth secured a fine win in a good game at the Ynys....writes Stuart Dean...a first half brace by Haggett put the visitors in the driving seat and although the hosts fought hard for a goal in the second half, they came across a strong and well organised side who maintained their 2-goal advantage until the final whistle.

12th January
Afan Lido 0, Rockspur Fords 10
An overwhelming victory for the visitors at Marston’s Stadium with Medwin (3), Bonomi (3), Johnson (2), Stephen and Edwards on the scoresheet.

Trefelin 4, Church Village 0
The hosts won a great game played in good spirits at Victoria Road...writes Andrew Davies...A Richard Williams hat-trick and a fourth by Hare secured the 3 points.

Ynyscynon 3, Upper Rhondda 3
A good game played the right way ended all-square at Ynyscynon Park...writes Chris Owens...Lewis, Jackman and Taylor put the visitors ahead but a fine Phil Evans hat-trick ensured a share of the spoils for the hosts.

5th January 2025
Swansea 2, Pencoed Athletic 2
The Swans secured their first point of the season at Penyrheol Leisure Centre with Sanford and Greenway on target for the hosts and Jones and Bennett replying for the visitors.

Rockspur 2, Abercwmboi 4
A good away win for the visitors in an end to end game at Morriston Leisure Centre. Rockspur took the lead when Lloyd put through his own net before Durston and Welch put the Abercwmboi 1-2 up at the interval. Johnson equalised for Rockspur but Lewis and Kris secured the 3 points for the Cynon Valley boys.

29th December
Upper Rhondda 2, Pontyclun 1
A very tight game that could have gone either way at Ynys Park....writes Stuart Dean... Taylor scored for the hosts before Rogers equalised minutes later. Morris scored the all-important winner on the hour to secure the points for Upper Rhondda.

A great game, played in tremendous spirit in front of a sizable crowd at the Marston’s Stadium...writes Alan Howells....Trefelin claimed the points with a fine away win in this local derby. The better fitness of the visitors was key as they went into a 3-0 lead thanks to goals by McLachlan, Williams and McSweeney. Phillips scored a consolation late on

A good home win for Porth at Dinas Park with goals by Leiws, Haggett and Owen. Goulding scored for the visitors.

Pencoed Athletic 3, Pontyclun 3
An entertaining game played in good Spirit ended honours even at Tonypandy...writes Huw Vaughan... A Howard hat-trick set the hosts up for the win but Hughes, Lewis and a late Wilson equaliser ensured a share of the spoils.

Church Village 0, Llantwit Fardre 16
An emphatic win for the League leaders against a depleted Church Village team...writes Andrew Davies....This was a tough afternoon for us, with lads dropping out last minute and moaning when we switched venues, leaving us with only 9 players against a side who showed why they are top of the League! Llantwit scored at will through Llewellyn (4), Kennedy (3), Williams (2), Alford (2), Bowden, Jones, Chambers, Morgan and Minton.

9th December 2024
Pentyrch Rangers 1, Pencoed Athletic 4
The hosts took an early lead at the University Fields through Barnett, but the visitors claimed all 3 points with a fabulous FOUR by hot striker, Gavin Howard, which moves his team into 3rd place in the (West) League table.

Rockspur Fords 9, Church Village 1
An emphatic win for the hosts Morriston Leisure Centre, with goals by Phillips (3), Edwards, Clarke, Connochie, Lewis and Evans and a Holloway OG. Lawson got a consolation for the visitors.

Swansea 0, Abercwmboi 5
A handsome win for the visitors at Penyrheol Leisure Centre with Welch (2), Kris, Hughes and Lewis on target.

24th November 2024
Rockspur 2, Upper Rhondda 2
This was a competitive game that could have gone either way at Morriston Leisure Centre...writes John Hughes...Although the match was still scoreless at the interval, the game ebbed and flowed in the second period. The visitors took the lead through Lewis, but Connochie equalised soon after, before his teammate Oram put them 1-2 ahead. Hayne ensured a share of the spoils with a goal with 20 minutes remaining.

Swansea 2, Afan Lido 3
The visitors, playing in their sparkling new kit, edged an end-to-end game at Penyrheol Leisure Centre. Johnson and Hartnoll scored for the hosts, but Phillips, Underwood and Barness secured the 3 points for Lido (pictured).

A good win for the hosts in a cracking game at The Ynys in Aberdare...writes David Hinksman...Goals by Lewis (2) and Hughes secured the 3 points.

Church Village 3, Swansea 2
Church Village scored a late winner in a very close game at Upper Boat...writes Andrew Davies....Dulieu, Collins and Sainsbury earned the hosts their first three points of the season. Hartnoll bagged a brace for the Swans.

Llanelli Town 2nds 5, Pencoed Athletic 0
The hosts claimed the points in a fine game at Crown Park...writes Nigel Lewis...In a great game of open, quality football Llanelli had a bit more quality at times and scored through Harries (2), McEwan (2) and Lewis. Pencoed pushed hard for a goal but gritty defending and a great goalkeeping display by Llanelli stopper, Evans, maintained a clean sheet and their unbeaten start to the season.

Ynyscynon 2, Llantwit Fardre 7
A convincing win by the o40s (West) Workwear Supermarket.com League leaders at Ynyscynon Park. Llantwit Fardre scored through Kennedy (2), Williams, Roberts, Lloyd, Chambers and Anderson. The hosts replied through Evans and Mathias.
