Wales & West Utilities donate mobile defibrillator to Newport!

Newport Veterans' player, Dave 'Dai' Griffiths has been successful in encouraging Wales & West Utilities to generously donate a new mobile defibrillator to his club, Newport Veterans FC.

The club owes them a huge debt of gratitude for this crucial piece of equipment, which, if used within the first couple of minutes of Cardiac arrest, can increase the survival rate for victims by as high as 90%!

Wales Veteran's Football Association committee member, Mike Blackaby, is currently working on a project which will encourage other clubs in the organisation to purchase their own defibrillators...along with ideas on how they can work with local companies to kindly donate a unit....watch this space!
