Jason Burton passes away over the weekend

It is with the deepest sadness that we report the death of former Pontyclun player Jason Burton (Bunn), who sadly lost his 'short' battle with colon cancer last weekend.

Pontyclun social media reported “Tragic news at the weekend, as we sadly lost our great friend & former player Jason Burton (Bunn), a week before he was due to be married to Lisa."

On behalf of everyone at Wales Veterans Football, we pass on our deepest condolences to Jason's partner Lisa, his family and friends. As a mark of respect the Pontyclun and Barry Town players will be holding a minute's silence before this Sunday's o60s match at Ivor Park.
